Anyone who has ridden through the Pyrenees, across the Balkans or into the Atlas Mountains in summer knows how quickly heavy textile trousers turn into a sauna. The Knox Urbane Pro Move is made for exactly those conditions. These close-fitting, airy motorcycle trousers feel like lightweight sports trousers, yet protect like full motorcycle trousers with CE Class AA approval.
The trousers are built on the proven Urbane Pro MK2 foundation, but go a step further with In-Motion Mesh panels. All solid linings have been replaced with soft power mesh, allowing air to circulate freely and keeping the weight to a minimum. You notice it most on days spent riding for hours in the heat or working slowly through a sandy track.
The main fabric is high tenacity stretch nylon with Spandex. Standing on the pegs, gripping the tank with your knees or stepping off to guide the bike over a loose slope: the fabric moves with you without pulling at the knees or seat.
Despite their light feel, the Urbane Pro Move trousers are certified to EN 17092-3:2020 Class AA. That is the middle of the three protection classes AAA, AA and A, and a level usually only found in much heavier textile trousers. The mesh panels offer high resistance to abrasion, cuts and tears.
Removable Knox MICRO-LOCK Compact protectors come fitted as standard, Level 2 at the knees and Level 1 at the hips. They sit in soft pockets, so they stay comfortable even after a long day in the saddle.
The Urbane Pro Move is a summer trouser and is therefore not waterproof. If you ride through changing weather, pack a compact rain overtrouser in your luggage. On hot days, pair them with the Urbane Pro Move armoured shirt or any other Knox armoured shirt for a complete and breathable protective system. Prefer wearing a motorcycle jacket? The trousers also work well under a vented jacket, thanks to their low bulk.
The trousers have a close fit, keeping the protectors in the right place in the event of a fall. They are available in sizes S to 5XL (waist 76 to 112 cm) and in two leg lengths: regular (33 inch) and short (30 inch). Measure your waist where your trousers normally sit, roughly 5 cm below your belly button, and subtract about 5 cm to find your size.
