Dry feet, even after a day of rain The GORE-TEX membrane comes with the Guaranteed To Keep You Dry promise, and the boot was tested for water resistance (WR) in its CE certification. Ride for hours in the rain or walk a soaked trail to your tent, and your feet stay dry. A moisture-wicking, breathable liner moves sweat away, on warm days too.

Protection where you need it Pucks of 5 mm perforated XRD impact foam sit around your ankles, and 3 mm of XRD foam in the tongue protects the top of your foot. The toe cap and heel are reinforced with TPU, so they wear more slowly against the shift lever and on rocks. A polycarbonate lasting board gives support on the pegs, including when you stand up off-road. The boot is CE certified to EN 13634:2017 with the code 1112 WR WAD. For transverse rigidity, its resistance to being crushed from the side, it reaches level 2, the highest in the standard.

Dial in the fit Instead of regular laces, the Outlander uses the BOA Fit System with sequence lacing. A turn of the BOA dial sets exactly the tension you want, and on the road you adjust it in seconds, for instance when your feet have swollen by the end of the day. The open lacing system doesn't hold on to mud and sand. BOA backs the dial and lace with a lifetime guarantee, and the heel pull loop makes the boot easy to get on.

Comfortable to walk and stand in The Outlander comes up over the ankle and walks like a sturdy hiking boot. The NESTFIT footbed is anatomically shaped, and the removable insole wicks moisture and breathes. After a wet day, take it out so everything dries faster overnight. The aggressive outsole grips on a slippery forest track, on gravel and on rock. Visible after dark 3M Scotchlite reflective details in carbon black bounce back the light of headlights, so you stand out better at dusk.

Finding your size The Outlander comes in US men's sizes from 5 to 14. According to KLIM's size chart, that equals EU 37.5 (5), 38.5 (6), 40 (7), 41 (8), 42.5 (9), 44 (10), 45 (11), 46 (12), 47.5 (13) and 49 (14). If you wear a half size, go one size up. If you know your US women's size, KLIM recommends ordering one to two sizes smaller.
