The Drive Mode Dashboard DMD-T865/T880 Barometric Pressure Expansion Module adds highly accurate altitude measurement and environmental sensor functionality to your DMD navigation device. It is designed for adventure riders and off-road travelers who want precise elevation data during navigation and route tracking.
The module adds both a barometric pressure sensor and an ambient temperature sensor to the DMD-T865 and DMD-T880. By using barometric pressure readings instead of relying solely on GPS altitude data, the system delivers significantly more accurate elevation measurements.
Within DMD2, altitude values are further calibrated using QNH data from nearby airports, similar to aviation systems. This allows the device to display highly accurate AMSL (Above Mean Sea Level) altitude readings during your rides.
The module also includes a metal relocation bracket designed for use with the Off-Road Holder, allowing for a secure and practical installation setup.
In addition to altitude measurements, the module can display ambient temperature data. Please note that because the module is mounted close to the battery, temperature readings may be affected while stationary. Readings become more accurate while riding, especially when used with the Off-Road Holder.
For adventure riders and off-road navigation, accurate altitude information can make a significant difference when traveling through mountainous terrain and remote environments. This module delivers far more precise elevation data compared to standard GPS-based systems.
An excellent upgrade for riders who want maximum navigation accuracy and additional environmental sensor data from their DMD navigation setup.
