Use of data units
Each data unit is either one tracking point, one text message, one e-mail or one weather forecast. For example : if the tracking interval is set at one tracking point per 2 hours, then this will cost 84 data units in one week. You then have 66 units left (9 per day) for texting or emailing. A mail message or SMS of 50 characters costs one data unit, this also applies to received messages.
The use of the data units can be classified by the tenant himself. We will assist in setting up the use of the data units.

You can connect the Garmin inReach Mini to your smartphone with the Garmin Earthmate app. With this you can easily type the messages and you have access to a very detailed map.

And they are available 24/7 to respond to your SOS, track your device and notify the right contacts, as well as the counselors in your area. Once you have triggered an emergency signal, you can expect a delivery confirmation that help is on the way and you will receive continuous updates on the status of your response team.
Thanks to wireless device-to-device connectivity, you can have the inReach-Mini send and receive messages remotely using compatible Garmin handhelds, wearables or other mobile devices 1 . Via GPS location tracking you can share your whereabouts with others at home or in the field. You can also post your adventures on social media. For easy navigation, there is a compass that indicates the direction and distance of a route or to a waypoint.
For more options and convenience syncs free Earthmate app inreach your handheld via Bluetooth ® wireless technology with the compatible Apple ® or Android ™ device 1, so you have unlimited access to maps and aerial photos. In addition, Earthmate allows you to conveniently use all inReach functions on your paired mobile device. For easier messaging, you can also access your phone's contact list from the Earthmate app to reach your contacts worldwide - with fewer button operations.
The optional inReach weather forecast service sends detailed updates directly to your inReach Mini or compatible device that is paired with the Earthmate app, so you know what conditions you can expect on the road. Basic and Premium weather packages are offered. You can request weather forecasts for your current location and all other waypoints or destinations in your travel plan.
Robust, durable, shock-resistant (MIL-STD-810F) and water-resistant up to IPX7., InReach Mini is built to keep you connected. The device contains an internal, rechargeable lithium battery for up to 90 hours of use in a standard tracking mode with a transmission interval of 10 minutes and up to 24 days in energy-saving mode 2 . You can charge via the standard microUSB power cable or optional 12 V charger in your vehicle.
